In preparation for the launch of their long term safety campaign, Maranoa Regional Council held a ‘Switch On to Safety’ day for over 450 of their frontline staff. Presenting on the day was Actrua’s Senior Consultant, Jamie Toth and rugby league legend, Shane Webcke. Jamie opened the workforce’s hearts and minds to safety, presenting the concept of ‘My Top 4’ and discussing why our brains are hardwired to switch off to safety.
As a Queensland Safety Ambassador, Shane has a strong connection and commitment to workplace safety. He shared his experience of the impact his father’s death from a workplace accident had on his family and offered advice to workers on the importance of staying safe.
